Disposable and Returnable Refrigerant Containers.
Refrigerant are packaged in both disposable and returnable shipping containers, commonly called " cylinders " They are considered to be pressure vessels, and therefore comply with federal and state law regulating transportation and usage of such containers.
Refrigerant manufacturer have voluntarily established common cylinder identifying colors.
*** Color code previously used on refrigerant containers can be used until December 31, 2019. By 2020, all refrigerant containers should transition to color. RHL 7044 a light green gray.
*** Pressure relief safety devices with releasing pressure preset to highest vapor pressure anticipated with R-502 are installed on every cylinder manufactured. They are of the frangible /rupture disc style , or spring loaded relief integrated into the valve system. Neither of the type are adjustable or are to be tempered with.

냉매탱크 폐기 및 반송 할수 있는 경우 :
냉매는 한번쓰고 재사용 할수 없는 탱크와 재사용 가능하여 반송/재사용 가능한 탱크로 구별하며 압력이 존재하는 탱크로 구분되여 미교통부의 규제를 받으며 연방정부와 주정부의 허가 사항이기도 합니다.
색갈로 구분하던 냉매 종류는 2019년12월 31일이후 RHL 7044규정에 의하여 옅은회색으로 변경 됩니다.

Disposal Cylinders:
Department of Transportation /DOT specifications required that disposable refrigerant cylinders be rated for service pressure of 260 psi, and leak tested at 325 psi. Under laboratory test, one cylinder per thousand produced is pressurized to point of failure.
The cylinder must not rupture below 650 psi.
Disposable cylinders are to be stored in dry location to prevent corrosion, and transported carefully to prevent abrasion of painted surface. They are not to be refilled.
The penalty for transporting a refilled disposable cylinder is a fine upto $ 25,000.00 and five years imprisonment.
Disposal of disposal cylinder is accomplished by recycling as scrap metal. When the cylinder is empty, assure that all pressure is released to zero psi. Cylinder should be made useless for any purpose.

한번쓰고 폐기하는 냉매 탱크는 재활용 할수 있도록 하여 고철 수집장소로 반환하며 적어도 0 psig 압력 회수를 필수로 하며 재사용할수 없도록 하여야 합니다.

Returnable /Reusable Cylinders
Returnable cylinders meet DOT specifications 4BA- 300, with a water capacity of 122.7 lbs.
Low boiling point, High vapor pressure refrigerants such as R-13 and R-503 are supplied in cylinders with DOT specifications 3AA-1800, or 3AA-2015 respectlvely.
